VA St Louis Health Care System Fisher House located at Jefferson Barracks
"The VA St Louis Health Care System Fisher House at Jefferson Barracks provides temporary lodging to family members or caregivers who are more than 50 miles and attentive to their Veterans' or active-duty Service Members' medical care, when the patient is receiving care that is funded or coordinated by the VA. There is no cost to the guests for thier stay at the Fisher House."

Fisher House St. Louis
This VA St Louis Health Care System's Fisher House located on the Jefferson Barracks campus is owned and managed by the VA. Since opening in 2010, the house has served over 15,000 guests and saved Veteran and active-duty service member families over $13 million in lodging costs.
This website is managed by the Friends of Fisher House St. Louis, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that supports the VA St. Louis Health Care System's Fisher House. The Friends of Fisher House in St. Louis continually raises funds to support the current Fisher House and long-range plans to build a second Fisher House located near the John Cochran campus.
What We Do
How The Fisher House Supports Veterans & Families
Free Lodging
The Fisher House provides temporary housing for military families and caregivers while their Veteran or service member receives VA medical care. In addition, guests are provided with food, transportation, and other amenities during their stay. This support is provided at no cost to the guests.
Compassionate Support
Families are welcomed into a warm, home-like environment so they can focus entirely on their loved one's recovery without financial stress.
Community Driven
Volunteers from the community are encouraged to support the Fisher House by sponsoring meals, donating wish list items, or other support. For details contact the VA Fisher House at 314-894-6145. The Friends of Fisher House St. Louis is a non-profit organization that supports the house through fundraising, volunteering, and community partnerships.
Long-Range Vision
In addition to supporting the current Fisher House, the Friends of Fisher House has long-range plans to build a second Fisher House by the John Cochran VA Hospital to serve even more Veterans and families in the St. Louis area.
