The VA Fisher House at Jefferson Barracks is owned and operated by the VA St. Louis Health Care System, and is located on the Jefferson Barracks campus in South St. Louis County. This Fisher House opened in 2010, and is proud to have served more than 14,250 guests and provided approximately $12 million in cost savings to them since then.
The Fisher House provides free temporary lodging to family members or caregivers who are far from home and attentive to their Veterans’ or active-duty Service Members’ medical care, when the patient is receiving care that is funded and coordinated by the VA.
This website is by the Friends of Fisher House St. Louis, a non-profit organization which supports the VA Fisher House at Jefferson Barracks in many ways, and has long-range plans to build a second Fisher House by the John Cochran VA Hospital.

Sunday Afternoon BINGO: VFW Post 3944 Auxiliary holds a fundraiser that has raised
thousands of dollars for the Fisher House in St. Louis. BINGO almost every Sunday,
open to the public! Doors Open at 9:00 am, Sales Start at 10:00 am, BINGO Starts at

Saturday Night BINGO: American Legion Fenton Memorial Post 400 has donated
thousands of dollars to the Fisher House in STL. The public is welcome at their BINGO
games every Saturday night except on major holidays. Smoke free hall at 2 Gravois

Golf Tournaments
Thursday, June 11, 2026: The 14th annual Golf Tournament, with Dinner and Auction organized by Jim Sheets of JIMCO will be at Forest Park. This is historically the biggest annual fundraising event for the Friends of Fisher House St. Louis. Friday, April 24, 2026: This Golf Tournament is hosted by Solerity to benefit the Fisher House in St. Louis and will be at Cardinal Creek Golf Course on Scott AFB. Find details and register HERE.

Call for Community Partners: Individuals and Groups
We welcome people to the house to cook, or provide family fun such as board games, sing-a-longs, trivia nights, etc., with our guests. Volunteers may also assist us with things such as light dusting, organizing our supply room, yard work, or making a grocery run. Please call the VA Staff at (314) 894-6145 to discuss.
