A Home Away From Home for Those Who Serve

The VA Fisher House at Jefferson Barracks provides free temporary lodging to family members or caregivers who are far from home and attentive to their Veterans' or active-duty Service Members' medical care, when the patient is receiving care that is funded and coordinated by the VA.

This website is by the Friends of Fisher House St. Louis, a non-profit organization which supports the VA Fisher House at Jefferson Barracks in many ways, and has long-range plans to build a second Fisher House by the John Cochran VA Hospital.

Call for Community Partners: Individuals and Groups

We welcome people to the house to cook, or provide family fun such as board games, sing-a-longs, trivia nights, etc., with our guests. Volunteers may also assist us with things such as light dusting, organizing our supply room, yard work, or making a grocery run. Please call the VA Staff at (314) 894-6145 to discuss.
