Build a Fisher House at the St. Louis VA Medical Center located on Jefferson Barracks Campus. It will serve John Cochran (Downtown) with VA Shuttle Service
Regional Polytrauma Unit for Treatment/Rehabilitation of Iraq/Afghanistan Veterans
- Traumatic Brain Injury
- Spinal Cord Injury
- Prosthetics Fitting/Training
- Mental Health
Treatment for WWII/Korean/Vietnam Veterans
- Open Heart Surgery
- General Surgery
- Intensive Care
- Hospice
Most of our patients cannot Afford Extended-Stay Expenses, such as lodging and dining out in Commercial Hotel/Motels
- Within 2 years of OIF/OEF serve Active, Reserve, National Guard duties
- Disability Due to Military Service
- Catastrophic Illness
- Indigent
- Annual Income Less Than “Low Income”
Spouses, Children, Parents that are Traveling More than 50 Miles (Includes Veterans from Marion and Poplar Bluff) and in special circumstances like constant vigil and financial need.

Estimated Total Cost in 2008 is $5 Million. VA Must Raise ½ Locally ($2.5 Million). We do not Use of Government Funds. OUR IMMEDIATE NEED: Raise $400,000 for the Fisher House Foundation Commitment and Begining of the Design Process.
Fisher House Foundation Donates House to VA
VA provides facility manager, maintenance & upkeep, seeks donations for food, toys, books, clothing, etc., volunteers to assist families.
